Started by Keith Lancaster’s daughter, Melissa Lancaster, Durant exploded onto the a cappella scene in 2006 with their debut album Ride, making their presence immediately known within the a cappella community, and not just on the gospel end of things. With a passion for making music and praising the Lord, this ensemble of young men and women have an energetic presence on the stage, powerful vocals and a style that is all their own.
Owing to their musical versatility and desire to share their love of a cappella with all who will listen, Durant’s motto is “Yeah, we do that.” Embracing a wide variety of musical genres and styles so as to appeal to a vast and diverse audience, Durant’s mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus through their unique blend of their rich a cappella tradition with the influence of contemporary styles.
